Esther Mhuri the woman whose appeal for help with breast cancer reached sisi Vee has told sisi Vee that she has not clue about a Go Fund Me page opened by UK based Patience Murapata.Esther doesn’t even know where the money being raised under her name is going.
The Go Fund Me page which has so far raised more than £3000 was opened on the 7th of March 2017 by Patience Murapata who uses the name Patience Tich on facebook.Esther said she doesn’t even know who Patience Tich is.Why the Go Fund Me page was opened without consultation by Patience remains a mystery.
Speaking to sisi Vee yesterday Esther said she doesn’t even know how the Go Fund Me system works .This means she was not informed about how the website was going to be used to raise money for her and how she was going to benefit .
Meanwhile Zuwa Re who seems to know Patience posted saying the Go Fund Me page was opened by a sister who in this case is supposed to be the Patience not known to Esther.
Sisi Vee has since contacted Patience for clarification.There is need to know how the Go fund me account was created, in whose bank account the money is going to and how Esther will receive the funds.
This issue comes amid many relevations that Go Fund Me is being used by some Zimbabweans to con unsuspecting masses.Unfortunately those being conned never learn.
“This looks like the same old thing whereby some thieving Zimbabweans in UK are opening Go Fund Me pages to dupe unsuspecting Zimbabweans in need.How someone can just open a Go Fund Me account without agreeing with the person in need or contacting the person to share the idea and explain how the donated funds will be directed to Esther is obviously proof that the intention is to steal donor funds…typical .” Said sisi Vee
Talking to sisi Vee as she updated her about how much she had raised through other means Esther said ,

I think you should try and contact Patie uyo she’s on Facebook atsanangure her side of the story
